IMEG Careers
1411 Broadway Suite 600
New York, NY 10018
Dear IMEG Hiring Team,
My name is Ange Compere, and I am currently pursuing a B.E. in Electrical Engineering at The City College of New York. As a student with over two years of coursework completed, I am writing to express my interest in IMEG’s Electrical Engineering Intern (Summer 2026) position posted on LinkedIn. I believe I’m a strong candidate due to my experience with CAD software—especially AutoCAD—my hands-on lab work designing a soft start circuit for a data acquisition box, and my ability to use MS Office Suite tools.
My experience at the Queensborough Community College physics lab and my coursework have equipped me with a strong foundation in circuit building, design, and testing. I have used CAD software to draft electrical schematics and create 3D plans of various devices. As a student lab member, I designed and built a soft-start circuit for a data acquisition box under the mentorship of my professor. This project involved selecting resistors and capacitors, drawing the circuit, soldering components, and testing it under varying load conditions to ensure reliability. I operated lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies to analyze performance. To present my findings, I used Microsoft Office tools—creating a PowerPoint presentation and poster and documenting technical reports in Word with embedded schematics and calculations.
These experiences have not only strengthened my technical foundation in electrical engineering but also enhanced my ability to communicate clearly and effectively. I am confident that my hands-on skills, combined with my academic training make me a strong candidate for this internship. I am eager to apply my academic experience to real-world design consulting and contribute to IMEG’S people-focused project and gain insights into sustainable design and innovation.
I would appreciate the opportunity to interview for this position and further discuss how my academic background and hands-on experience align with IMEG’s mission, and the goals of this internship. Thank you for considering my application—I look forward to the possibility of contributing to your team.
Sincerely,
Ange Compere
